Teaching ExperienceSeattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Washington
Fall 2021-Present Taught students 3.5 to 17 years old in various subjects. Topics include Sketch Comedy, Art of Drag, Devising, and Improv. Taught in various school residencies around Seattle through SCT. Residencies include, Villa Academy, Coyote Central, Rainier Prep, Lowell Elementary, Jane Addams Middle School, Wing Luke Elementary, Hawthorne Elementary, MLK Jr. Elementary. Chinook Middle School Drama Club, Bellevue Washington Spring 2024 Directed a production of The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition. Taught the students how to act and work on a full production. A Contemporary Theatre, Seattle Washington Fall 2019 Taught high school seniors basic playwriting skills. Over the course of ten weeks, each student produced a final draft of a ten minute play Dramatic Writing Workshop, Bellingham Washington Spring 2018/Fall 2018/Spring 2020/Fall 2020 Assisted and Mentored college playwrights at Western Washington University. Taught adaptations, theory, and professional development College Quest, Bellingham Washington Summer 2018 Taught prospective college students playwriting basics to produce a ten minute play over a week, ending in a staged reading of their work performed by local actors. Fairhaven Middle School, Bellingham Washington Spring 2018/2019 Ran the after school drama program writing age appropriate scripts that challenges the students and taught acting skills. Worked with students to write and adapt stories for the stage Summer Youth theatre Institute, Everson Washington Summer 2018 Wrote and directed groups of kids in page to stage productions of classic children’s stories. Lummi Island Theatre Camp, Lummi Island Washington Summer 2017 Directed two casts of children ages 5-12 in productions of Music Man Jr. Taught acting skills and music fundamentals |
